ABOUT
Hello there! I’m Brad Dailey, and I’m an award-winning creative storyteller, educator, and seeker. With deep roots in digital media and a lifelong fascination with philosophy and spirituality - especially Buddhism and Western Esotericism - I approach life with the student or beginner’s mindset, as a journey of discovery through layered meaning and thoughtful creation.
I hold a Master of Arts in Digital Storytelling, as well as dual BAs in Creative Writing and Video Production. My academic path reflects my core identity: a multidisciplinary storyteller who moves fluidly between words, images, and ideas. I have spent over six years teaching in the classroom, including five years at the university level instructing students in video production, graphic design, screenwriting, and animation. More recently, I brought my holistic, curiosity-driven approach to middle schoolers, teaching ELA, math, science, and social studies in an interdisciplinary classroom environment.
Beyond the classroom, I have worked hundreds of freelance projects, primarily as a camera operator, and have directed documentaries, music videos, and short films. I am also an experienced photographer, having shot weddings, portraits, events, and real estate; although my favorite subject is nature, where I capture stillness, hidden structure, and ethereal beauty through the lens.
I am an avid hiker and general lover of the outdoors. When indoors, I love to watch genre movies (fantasy, horror, and sci-fi), play video games, and read. I also love animals, and share my home with cats named Frodo, Merlin, Dookie, and Tuesday.
